When you are fully aware of the many aspects of ART, you will know better what to expect at each step and will have realistic expectations.
Even though many patients achieve pregnancy in their first attempt, think of ART as an ongoing series of treatments which, ideally, will allow you to conceive and deliver a healthy baby. Depending on your age and diagnosis, it may take more than one attempt for you to be successful.
In the course of your treatment you may meet other couples with similar problems. We realize that infertility can be a very stressful and frustrating experience. It often helps to know that you are not alone and to share your feelings.
